Founder and CEO
Jamie Carson founded Carson+Co Global in Washington, DC, in 2011. The business headquarters were relocated to Lincoln, Nebraska, in 2015. Carson leads CCG’s vision, strategy, management team, and business operations and development.
CCG is a federally certified Woman Owned Small Business (WOSB) and a social enterprise business with a mission to “advance impact in the environmental sector”. Carson leads the team in implementing this vision into business operations, client work, and company initiatives. CCG founded the environmental community engagement organization, Envirorun in 2012 in Washington, DC, and CCG now manages the national nonprofit with chapters in DC, Lincoln, and Eugene, Oregon. Additionally, Carson leads two other CCG startup projects including an environmental sector decision-making tool, as well as a socioeconomic environmental magazine, a local collaboration with the University of Nebraska–Lincoln.
Carson has advised associations, companies, government offices, nonprofits, and universities on their communication, brand and creative, event, knowledge management, media and public relations, and outreach efforts for more than a decade. Carson has breadth and depth working collaboratively with organizations large and small to integrate smart decision-making and communications strategies, especially related to environment and sustainability. Carson helped lead capacity building, communications and knowledge management activities under the U.S. Agency for International Development project, Climate Change Resilient Development (CCRD) including managing development of the USAID Advancing Climate-Resilient Development Symposium in Washington, DC, in March 2015. Currently, Carson is key personnel under the Abt Associates partnership on the USAID project — Climate Integration Support Facility (CISF). Carson and the team at CCG are leading a Comprehensive Residential and Commercial Recycling Program alongside the City of Lincoln. Carson’s educational background includes degrees in mass communications with environmental emphasis and Spanish, and continued studies under the Climate Change Officer (CCO) certification program. Carson has a vast network of professional relationships in the environmental and sustainability sector, including in national press.
Carson, her husband, and their young son returned to their midwest roots in 2015 after more than six years in DC, and are enjoying being surrounded by their families and the rich culture and quickly growing City of Lincoln.
