Jamie Carson founded Carson+Co Global – a Woman Owned Small Business (WOSB) – in Washington, DC, in 2010. As chief executive officer, she values the diverse inputs and priorities of the CCG team and clients. Alongside her colleagues, Jamie implements the organizational vision into the business’ culture, operations, and finances.
Working in strategic communications, Jamie’s experiences include contributions at international nonprofits, government agencies, and the corporate sector. She led capacity building, communications, and knowledge management activities under the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) Climate Change Resilient Development project, including managing development of the USAID Advancing Climate-Resilient Development Symposium in Washington, DC. Jamie served as key personnel under the Abt Associates consortium supporting USAID’s Climate Integration Support Facility (CISF). Holding degrees in mass communications with an environmental emphasis and Spanish, and continuing studies under the Climate Change Officer (CCO) certification program, Jamie feels fortunate to be able to put her passion to build a more sustainable and just world to work at CCG.
Jamie and her husband, Derek, founded the environmental nonprofit Envirorun in 2012 in Washington, DC. Returning back to their Midwest roots in 2015 to be closer to family, Jamie, Derek, their sons, Max and Zeke, and greyhound, Jim Dandy, enjoy the parks, trails, diverse restaurants, and growing culture, population, and diversity of the Great Plains region.
